Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Blitzmax for iphone / ipod touch?
I recently got an ipod touch and was wondering what the word on blitzmax dev for iphone/ipod?
Certain applications such as apache, php, etc have been recompiled for the iphone. What is the possability that blitzmax could do this in the future?

Zero.
I think Skid gave up on a ARM-compatible Max and now spends his days playing on his wii :-p
Would love to see on iPhone, or even WM5/6.
I would love to see a browser plugin so that BlitzMax content can be used in web pages - like you can with Unity.
Very unlikely I would say - Apple don't even supply an SDK for the iPod
The SDK will come in feburary.
It would definitely be cool and definitely there is a huge potential market of ipod owners. Last I heard there were only a few available games for it.
The browser plugin is a good idea since the ipod supports safari and all that, presumably plugins too?
Or what is involved in getting permission to make an app for the ipod? Some people obviously are already making games for it so it should be possible, most likely just a matter of compatibility with API's and compiling for the hardware?
@Tri|Ga|De
really? Where did you find this out?
Its common news
LookTry to Google for iPhone + SDK
Yup in feb! Heres hoping that the SDK is not too restricted!
The Android platform from Google for mobile phones looks quite good. You should check this out too.
AdventureMaker can make games for iPod Touch and iPhone.

The SDK is terrible, wouldn't bother.
I notice Sonic the Hedgehog (classic Sega Megadrive version) is going to be available for ipod/phone. Now that's a cool game to live up to and I've still never seen any other platform game that is as speedy or playable.
