Animal Soccer World for the PS2

This is an actual game for the PS2.

While the title might make you think it is a sports game, it's actually a puzzle game with some jigsaws, a sliding picture puzzle, and a memory game.

But enough about the gameplay. The real gem is the cuscenes. Enjoy!

I've linked directly to the UK page because if you go to the main page, you have to sit through an animation which then offers you the choice to skip the opening animation, which then plays anyway if you choose to skip it!

And I always thought to much perfectionism destroys a game ... but enough desinterest does so as well.

But what do you expect from a game done by coding monkeys (see the Code Monkey in the starting stuff ^^)

Sounds like somebody has done a voice over of a weirtd cartoon.

I've got the Dinosaur Adventure one. I bought it for the kids. Cost me $10 or so.

On the one hand, yes, it's an abomination. On the other, the kids love it and play (and replay) it regularly, so who am I to criticise? :o)

And looking through this range of (PS2) games, they feature heavily in the Australian budget new PS2 games market - I've been shuffling past most of these titles for years.

This is like all those Nancy Drew games my sister keeps buying. They're horrible, but she just keeps buying them.

I just find it sad that there are games in this day and age with production values that make even the CD-I Zelda games look like gems.

Heh. I know the president of that company Paul Share.

He's a top bloke. Sort of like Boycey from Only Fools only he can speak fluent Dutch with a London accent.

He goes on regular trips to Japan where he goes to trade shows and buys up obscure games for tiny amounts of money. He'll just walk up and offer them a deal on the spot. He'll sign several games like that per trip.

He knows what he's selling. His philosophy is that there's a right price for any product. He sells his stuff cheap and gets few complaints. Kids generally enjoy that stuff and if they don't nobody minds that much because it was cheap.
