That was unexpected.

I particularly like "rest assured more is coming." As always, they cleverly made no mention of anything that could translate to a time guestimate, but it's so exciting!

There seems to be a lot of mention around the interwebs of people thinking that this will not work well because the concept of a catch-phrase totin` guy with bad attitude died with its time...
I think that will just make it more awesome! A completely unusual return to the days of campy dialog and absurd "action-packed" situations.

Of course, a teaser means nothing. All it means is I must spend a while expecting DNF news, only to realize that it will never come :(

Luckily we have Doom3 - both the game and the "movie". But I think that in those all "campy" was unintentional... :)

Maybe I can finally use that $30 coupon I won in one of their camera contests back in 1997, which I was saving for DNF all these years!

Or maybe I can sell it on Ebay for a hefty markup.

Not impressed. Looks too much like Doom 3 and Prey, which themselves didn't look good. 2001 trailer looked loads better.

I think the best thing they could do to this franchise is to never release it. ANYTHING with this much hype is bound to be a huge disappointment. Instead, they should just release new trailers every 6 or 7 years to keep the rabid fans drooling. :)

The video is a teaser, not an ad/gameplay footage.

Teaser's are just for hype building, or showing off something for no reason other than showing it off, like the recent Brutal Legends teaser.

Tend to agree with this, too. These hype building teasers are great if another third party is secretly working on a Duke title though. Keeps the fans interested in the IP...
