Christmas Shopping

Thought this might amuse.

Was in a Game store at the weekend (the main UK game retailer on the high street for those who don’t know).

Not knowing what I wanted for Christmas, my partner offered to get me a game and I plumped for the latest Unreal. She went to the till to pay and was met by a rather impertinent young man who asked: “Are you a fan of first person shooters madam?”

You must realise that we are both in our 40’s and thus not typical gamers.

Her reply (in best Lady Bracknell manner): “No - I’m a level 70 priest in WoW”

Almost makes one prefer the high street to online shopping!

well I've done all mine this year, really I just bought stuff for my partner (including a nice gold ring with a gem on it, very RPG) and she did all the stuff for relatives (thank God!) whilst I carried on "working".

I'm hoping to get a DS game maybe this year (we make little lists here to make it easier for relatives), but I never seem to get bought games so I always go on a binge in the Jan sales and buy games that sit around all year because I'm too busy to play them :-(
