What's going on here? These models are dirt cheap and very nice. Beautifully rigged, animated, the works.

They look very very good.

mmm... didn't see the other post about this, apologies. I must be less lazy next time.

They are good, I have doubts about the size of the weapons that some of them carry - they are far too big for my liking - probably easily fixable though.

Easily fixable...if you have max 9 that is :).

I think the weapons are separate, so you could manually scale them - even make the characters use each others weapons or your own weapons. You would just parent whatever you want them to hold and, once parented, it would move with the animation of the character.

This pic shows her staff at her feet.

If anyone is worried about purchasing - I could buy them first to test them out. I don't particulary need them as my Dark Messiah meshes are beyond normal AAA quality.

That's just a render, puki. I bought the holy warrior chick and she's all one mesh. I don't have max9 so I can get in there and edit the mesh unfortunately. I did however load her up in blitz and she animates beautifully.

Animation videoclips very looked nice too... it's "easy" to do characters of this quality, but they are rarely animated - and these had very smooth looking moves and realistic movement. Great little models! And cheap too, you get a lot for the 50% price... another thing is to make game around these and match the quality and style.

@ "stayne"

Can you see up her dress or is it a solid base with her feet sticking out?

The one I have isn't wearing a dress. She's sporting a medieval roleplaying fantasy thong.

Yeh, the Holy Warrior one is dressed really weird - that put me off her - not really my type. I like the one in blue.

Are these models free to use commerically once you buy them? I mean, you don't need to send royalities or anything if you choose to seel a game containing these.

Possibly nothing stated at all - their site has nothing mentioned.

I bought the Megacity constuction kit and there isn't a readme or anything. It is all a bit strange though. Not that I care.

Ok, i bought that model. Looks excellent. I've played about with the textures. I have removed parts of the model, in Ultimate Unwrap, and changed the look. Very cool stuff. It comes with a read me telling you it's royality free :o)

Is it the one in blue - the one pictured above?

Thanks Ross, never thought of that. Off to UU3D I go!

No, the holy warrior one i'm afraid :D

I have a feeling they're using MakeHuman for these.

Regarding the licence for Megacity, the one Puki has, the author has written that you need to package up the models (MoleBox or others) so no one got get a free model from it.

Btw, I don't se anything telling you the frames for each animation. Kind of hard to extract them... You can view the animation in UU, and grab the frames numbers from there... Kind of tedious though...

Chinese prince? Don't look too Chinese to me.
