Free particle sprites?

Anyone know of any sources of free particle sprites?

What I really need are some particles that produce good looking dust and dirt sprays, smoke particles and sparks and flames.

Hmmm so do you need more an sprite animation or are you already happy with one frame which is scale/rot/colour/blended?

I remember one animation which looked really good (explosion with smoke clouds) but sadly i can't remember were i once saw it...

Otherwise have you tried rendering such a sprite(s)?

could try and get a trial of particle illusion, that makes some nice ones.

I'm using the Lotus R2 particle system in SRX, so what I need are single particle sprites images, like this one:

I have no idea of this system but if i remember the link of the animation i'll post it. It can be used with any particle system which is able to change the frame for a particle depending on it's lifetime.

Otherwise i would suggest rendering the wanted frames out (via renderer, texture tool or paint programs filter).
