Sync mod problems

Hi all,

just a quickie.

The only net access i have at the moment is using my mobile phone as a modem, which is general is not a problem. However for some reason it will not let me sync modules from within bmax. i can connect via a browser to www.blitzbasic.com/modserver124 and it goes thru ok.

if i sync thru maxide i get error 'unknown communication error', i think this is something to do with a firewall or similar on my networks GPRS error. my question is, is there a way to get module updates with out using sync mod from with maxide?

Sounds like you did not set the proxy data correctly in the maxide

doesnt seem to matter if i change it or not, it still fails with same error :-(

syncmods.exe -u User -p Password brl pub axe

Dunno if it works..

BTW, try the 1.28 update and see if you still have the problems.

have updated to 1.28 and it still doesnt work, i have changed proxy and everything else, only way i can sort it i guess is to copy the installation to usb mem. stick and update it via a work pc with internet access :-)
