Actually, I had forgotten about Spore and am keen to play that too (I hope it comes out on PS3 or X360).
I would say A Vampyre Story, Brütal Legend, Little Big Planet, Alan Wake and Dragonwars plus the rest of the Sam&Max Season2 Episodes.
Yeah, I also forgot about Spore.
I don't even know what games are coming out soon. I still want to play Crysis and play more of Halo 3's storyline mode. For Halo 3, I admit I'm a bit dissapointed by the usefulness of the 'tool' items it has (the bubble-shield, etc). They either stop working too soon or aren't overly useful to begin with. But that's just my early take on it.
I'm in the same boat as Storm. I don't even keep track of new releases any longer.
I think I have Call of Duty 4 coming for Christmas, and when the 360 gets back I'll pick up Gears of War - but that came out a while ago of course...

Actually Soggyp: I wouldn't mind turning AOTMG into something actually playable. Also I just *knew* larn would be on your list ;-) Thing is, let's say I made Larn, could I count on at least one sale from you?
Resident Evil 5 will most likely never come out for the Wii. The guys behind the game are REALLY REALLY into graphics. It's not like RE5 on the Wii wouldn't sell but RE5 will be RE4 + new setting + new and better HD graphics.
Hmm - top 5. Don't know - was kind of looking forward to Nov of this year as being the month for big releases, but having played the demos, none of them really grabbed me. Crysis was interesting for the graphics tech, Jericho demo left me cold, COD4 was exciting but overpriced for a linear 8 hours of entertainment. Bought and enjoyed The Witcher.

1. Spore - could be something of a holy grail of gameplay?
2. Total War:Empires - just hope the AI's a bit better than Medieval2
3. Duke Nukem Forever - they say they are still working on it and I am intrigued by a game that's been under dev for 10 years +. At that rate, they might have spent a full year on the menu screens alone ;-)
4. Tank Universal v1.5 - under development ay?

Why do people think there is going to be a PC version of GTA4?
There's been every version of GTA released on PC with the exception of the PSP spin-offs. Since GTA3, they were typically released about a year after the console renditions.
Can't see any fault in assuming the same will happen with GTA4 once the console sales start flattening out and Rockstar feels the need for some extra revenue.

What PSP spin-offs? If you're talking about the "Stories" games these were also released on the PS2.

I'm currently playing Super Mario Galaxy. Which at the current rate that I'm playing it should last me a while.
Why should rockstar feel that need?

MadJack: Ya know, I'm kinda with you there - nothing out there has really grabbed my attention lately. I've played a lot of Diablo II over the past year and a half, I'd really like to see an RPG based on tactics and combat, not quests. And something that's not totally over the top with graphics when my aging computer can't run it. Why would I want to buy a top of the line game when I also have to buy an extra $200 in computer hardware just to play it? I think that's another big reason why people choose not to buy new PC games.

That is assuming Bethesda would wait that long. I would think they would be able to squeeze in a 5th one in that time frame. I STILL HAVE HOPE! :)
Not a single game I'm excited about yet for next year. Most of the ones that are going to be ported to PC have been pretty disappointing on their console releases.
A good witcher expansion is all I can think of really(supposed to be one next year)

Spore, GTA4, FF13. Of course, I'm not likely to get a PS3 any time soon and I've boycotted EA, so I have a grumpy year ahead of me.
I actually think I've outgrown games for the most part. Hardly any of them really interest me anymore. But I do keep an eye out for good fantasy RPG's and the odd RTS like medieval. Don't see anything that really looks promising accounced yet.
Saw a trailer for Vampyre Story and have to say, the humour was groan inducing.
