Color Profile mismatch? Displaying JPEG images.

Hi everyone.

I have a little problem that bugs me.

When trying to display / edit certain jpeg images, I get a strange error message:



The pictures are still displayed inside the gfx apps, but the color values seem to be shifted somewhat.

So far I have tried:
- Paint Shop Pro X + XII
- Ifran View
- Acdsee

All with the same results.

Even worse: BMX doesn't display/load such images at all.

Is there a way to convert such files to nomal jpegs?

Gimp can probably handle it or did in
this case.

Gimp rocks. Freeware and does the job fine.

I presume these images were created in a lesser known app? or taken with a digital camera?

No, the have an implemented support for high quality printers I think. - The images are book covers from a publishing house.
