Two World's Collector's Edition

I just bought the Collector's Edition for for £19.99.

Be wary - there is a lot of false information on the net as to what you get.

There was bleating about a special hologram box - there is no hologram - it is silver and the silver shines rainbow colours - but that is it - there is no hologram - period.

There is a bonus CD - it isn't worth anything. Oblivion had a good Collector's CD - Two World's contains video clips - some of which are 6 seconds long and don't appear to show anything of interest - I haven't found anything on the 2nd disk of interest or of any particular point.

Apparantly, a bonus is the large world map - apparantly it isn't in the normal boxed version.


I installed it, then found out you do not get the full game features.

You have to activate (not register) the product by internet or by telephone to unlock the full game features. It doesn't tell you what these features are.

The packaging makes no mention of this step. I find this bizarre.


As a consolation, I hope I can lift the media - if not, I will not be happy.

How do you lift the media? What programs do you use? Can you lift Assasins Creed media? :D

I was very dissapointed with that game. The version I played was really buggy.

I'd certainly like to get my hands on the Assassin's Creed media.

The game is okay - it is a poor man's Oblivion/Gothic 3. However, at least it is comparable to Oblivion/Gothic 3 - which, in itself, is a good thing. I'll give the developers credit for what they have produced.

There have been subsequent patches to the game.

I really don't like Two Worlds. Especially combat and horse riding are terrible! If you want a smaller independent game with great horse riding action then try Mount&Blade.

I didn't mind Two worlds, its fun for a while, a pretty straightforward action RPG with more in common with golden axe than anything else.

The graphics arent bad and there are 1000's of weapons and armour you can collect. Graphics are quite nice and it seems to be pretty stable and bug free here.

Seems to have had a lot of patches 1t was upto 1.5 around the time it was launched.

Yeh, I'm quite drawn into it - have been playing it pretty much solid for the past 2-3 hours.

It lacks the complexity and polish of Oblivion/Gothic 3. However, nice big game world - lots of places to explore.

I think it was patch 1.6x that I installed to play it.

To be brutally honest, Two Worlds is the crappiest game I've played this year (and I've played a lot!) Bugs galore, activation nightmare, and the gameplay royally sucks.

heh, theres been far worse than 2 worlds in the last year. Gears of War and COD 4 were two of the worst disappointments. Played two worlds for many an hour, It's one of those filler games that you don't have to keep track of and can just pick up from where you left off without having to remember the plot. Most games don't keep my interest for 10 minutes, so usualy the demo is all I need.

I actually went out and bought this one after getting frustrated with the demo map being so restrictive. It's a good game if you just like building character stats and colecting interesting stuff. The horse riding is a bit naff, but I like to fight on foot and just use them as portable wardrobes for my stuff.

I've just finished The Witcher, which turned out great in the end (after a shaky start). Now I'm kind of hooked on big 3d RPG's. Trouble is, there's not that many of them around due to the fact that they usually take years to produce.

Had a look at the demo of Two Worlds. After Gothic3, it was just a bit too much of a step down. Having said that, did enjoy laughing at the cutscenes where the hero is silent, but all squinty eyed and looking like he wants to pee ;-) And I'm still hooked on just being able to wander where I want in a big world.
So if its been patched a bit, might check it out again.

yeah almost all recent RPG's including Oblivion are a step down from The Witcher. Can't think of any I really enjoyed as much in the last couple of years.

Mass Effect is pretty groovy, if you've got an Xbox 360 that is. Blue Dragon, again on the Xbox 360, is fun but offers nothing new. Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne is the best RPG ever made, but it's only available on the PS2.

I don't like western fantasy RPGs - shoddy Tolkien rip-offs, the lot of 'em. Elves, Orcs, Dwarves, Dragons, Wizards... yawn.

I only like Western RPG's myself, but then I'm really into medieval history, and technology and love western martial arts. Never really liked anything that came out of Japan. I quite enjoyed Jade Empire on the Xbox though, and was a big fan of Monkey Magic as a kid lol.

As a kid? I'm 31 and I'm still a big fan of Monkey Magic.

I havent watched Monkey since the 80's. I'd watch it now if it was on TV though :). Don't know if it's got the same following here in the US as it did back home in the UK.
