Yesterday I began playing a game and didn't realize that I spent the whole day and night playing it. This is not the first time. However I realized that the game was pure evil and was sucking the juice out of my life like a blood thirsty leech. These games go further than what tetris and pong did. What games have you played that keep you playing for a long time?

Sunk a fair amount of time into Total War series. Built many a huge empire, established trade routes east and west, forged diplomatic alliances, fought hundreds of battles.
All for a pop-up telling me 'You've won! Return to main menu?'
All for a pop-up telling me 'You've won! Return to main menu?'
Almost as bad as the old Monty Python platform game, which ended something like this:
"(after finally making it to the end) Here's a picture of a frog instead: <picture of frog>. <credits>"
Its kinda comparable to those old horror movies where the hot 70s chick in the lace nightie with the big-ones just stands there in hypnotised wonder as dracula has his evening tipple, instead of giving him 'the knee' and running away.
In the same (vein :) Its impossible to resist the lethal charms of the game.
