Nebula's recent posts have been 'odd' to say the least. Check the worklogs if you need examples.
Now, Nebula used to post non-craaaaazy things. Is it possible this is forum-bot?

the mad scienist nebula has created a sentance generator, it's obious that no human would come up with sentances like that , it looks just too artificial ;)

Yeah that is weird. I remember him from way back, nearly 6 years or so ago. He used to help people out with platform code and did some platform tutorials for people, which I still have.
He's either smoking some really good skunk or he's been on the Magic Mushroom, LSD trips. :)

Yeh, I just wondered if he had more than one account. There are a few people with multiple accounts.
I realise not many people will get this but the worklogs are quite entertaining when read in the style of Ron Manager. Not sure if he was Fast Show and/or Harry Enfield and Chums.

I used to help him with programming and 3D work all the time, and he was always eager to learn somthing new.

I also used to be in contact with Darklordz, a really nice guy, interested in games and webdevelopment. I had some really nice talks with him and exchange of ideas etc. Then we lost contact and from then on I had no idea what he was doing etc... It is news to me what I hear. Rest in Peace brother if it is indeed true!

Sorry, but I'm not like GfK in terms of how willing you are to come up with alternative theories to why someone would say someone else has died. You can believe it was a fake post, but unless I see evidence otherwise, I'm more inclined to believe the guy is dead, seeing as how he has more or less disappeared from the net.

Nebula's posts are crazy in an inspired way. I love nutty online personalities - for a while, at least. Then they begin to really annoy me.
The online contributions of "Power Mousey" and "Red... Ock... To... Ber..." in particular make my toes curl and my teeth clench. Argh! I'm becoming irritated just thinking about their posts - Maybe I need therapy.
Its a bot that has taken over his account, not himself making these posts. OR - he's using a weird program to auto generate posts.
You see these kinds of posts all over the interweb, filling up boards with crap while maintaining a certain level of ambiguity that fool people into thinking its made by a human.
I totally agree with ashmantle. The posts follow a certain pattern to some degree.
That's not his worklog. That's actual source code of his latest project. He's working in NeoCobol.

Occam's Razor? Which is the more likely scenario? That he posted a fake "death" post, or that his sister, presumably stricken with grief over the loss of her brother, took the time to write down a sappy note to a bunch of complete asshole strangers on an Internet forum, she would probably not even be aware her brother posted in?

Yup, you'll find him over at the SyntaxBomb website either going on... and on... about submarines... or feeling bitter towards Blitz3d. I don't think he ever got over the online temper tantrum that resulted in him "taking a break" from these forums.

Darklordz was just one of many "big personalities" who spun out of control on these forums and had to go. Darklordz, Red Ocktober, crazy "I want to destroy the world!" Dave - I know I'm missing loads, but I wonder who will be next? My vote's on Xylvan.
Did Red October get banned from here? heh, otherwise he would for sure be posting and ranting here :D

on a crysis youtube thread someone said something along the lines of "if red october were alive to see this" which made me think in my 3ish years absence that maybe he had died
edit: or it said "still around" im not sure but i conclueded dead
