Hello.

I'm getting a new mobile phone for Christmas, approx £100-£150 ($200-$300).

What would you recommend?

Goodbye.

One of the 300 models released in this time. ;)

Go in a shop, say what you want to have (features) and be happy.

Nokia 6120

Aren't they all a much of a muchness, these days?

they dont seem to make phones that just make calls any more ;)

x mega pixel camera with movie

my brothers ancient hand set died and now hes got most of those features and never uses em

Get whichever one you find to be most appealing visually, because beyond that they're all the same.

That's a big problem for me. :/ Everyone stares at me like I'm some kind of freak when I say I don't want to text message or have a camera built into my phone. If I wanted to take pictures, I'd use my camera! And I can talk to people just fine by using the phone part.

And why can't I have my phone ring like a normal phone? Why are they giving me all sorts of techno, but no ringing? It's so annoying.

I recently got a Blackberry 8310, I now realise I should have got one years ago (email access is a must!).

@ GingerTea - Yeah, the phone has GPS, Sat Nav, Media player (including Video), email, sms, camera and a full QWERTY keyboard.. etc.. etc.. Oh and I've got SKYPE installed on it so I can accept and make calls using the SKYPE service as well as use SKYPE to chat (runs as a background service so you can still use the thing when logged in). http://eu.blackberry.com/eng/devices/device-detail.jsp?navId=H0,C221,P583
