i'm looking for software that replaces the crappy sold-with-the-system-wont-record-wavs virtual drum that came with my ion ied05
aparantly i can botch a patch to cubase (which is stropping at the mo) due to it working as a joypad through glovePIE
and aside from the kickdrums each pad registers as a joystick button ... so i was going to re-learn blitz to try a stopgap

You can use FL Studio. (fruity loops)

If you get stuck (or bored) with your own, or you're still looking, there's a free open-source one called Hydrogen that if you don't like, you might at least be able to get some ideas from. There's a Windows installer on the download page.

I just purchased FL Studio. Thanks to the current USD to GBP exchange rates, it costs peanuts (relatively).
