Any good free translation web site?

Hi all,

I tried google and altavista web translation.
For google, its speed is fast but it only translate the beginining of a long web pages.
For altavista, it seems that the translated web page could not be saved.

Any other good free translation web sites?

For long web page translation, must we have a commercial translator installed?

Use Google.

Altavista(Babelfish)'s translation is bad, at least on Chinese and Japanese, they even reverse the meaning in many cases...

However I got less trouble on Spanish/German/Italian ones, but I think it's about the language nature of Asian Lauguages.

I think the trik with sites like this is not to simply do it one way..

Type your message, convert it, then convert it back again and see or make sure that it comes out the way you want, if not then change the wording until you get something closer to what you want.

i do that alot when im mucking around with bablefish

sometimes the ingrish that comes back is hysterical

pitty that russian comes out in cyrilic and not phenomic(?) as we used to have this fit russian bird who spoke no real english and all my chat up lines needed me to read cyrilic to say em :(
