Having a look at the contract phones available from the link below can anyone tell me whether getting the contract which gives you a free PS3 is worth it?

Nothing in this world is truly free. There's always a catch. If something is too good to be true, it usually is.
Take your pick.
On the +Free PS3 phone I looked at was a whopping £75 a month line rental (first 4 months 1/2 price) costing you £1200 over the 18 month contract.
The Wii offer was OK though, IF you were thinking of changing your phone anyway.
I don't know what the cell phone pricing is like in the UK, but here in the USA, a decent basic cell phone plan will run $40-$50 and a feature-rich one can easily run $70+ and that's usually with a two-year contract and no free game systems of any kind. If the cell phone service plan is reasonably robust (text messages, data, etc), $1,200 for eighteen months + a free PS3 would be pretty decent.
Of course, considering the current state of the dollar, 1,200 pounds is probably like $237,000 USD, so maybe you should skip it.

The cost of the FREE system is hidden in the price of the phone package, sometimes costing more than if you were to buy the phone and system seperately!!
Do just that, get a phone on itself and buy one of the consoles on themselves.
Its better to get a cheaper phone package and buy your console seperate.
