Good looking character models

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Good looking character models

I just found these while browsing the Garagegames boards - they come in b3d format as well. I'm sure puki will large them...

OMG - what a great find thanks for the linkee.

$29 for fab looking male and female fantasy characters. $19 for a dragon like that - sample videos of each too - Puki Christmas has come early m8!!!!!

They are on sale so be quick quick quick!

Lol.

IPete2.

Uh Oh - it turns out they are illegal copies of 3DRT stuff .

Cheeky. The legitimate 3DRT stuff is lovely though.

Actually I am not sure if these are legal or not. Reading through various posts elsewhere on other game dev boards it seems their website may have been a copy of 3drt's but there models are indeed their own.

Maybe someone could clarify as these models do look good.

Touch me Large with a lighthouse!

I thought the stuff looked familiar.

The models are not exactly the same - the ones on 3dbud have less polys and more file formats. Clearly, they have probably not had the sales they wanted over at 3DRT and have added Blitz3D, Dark Basic etc to shift more copies.

I've always had my eye on the 3DRT ones.

May just have to buy these new ones.

3dbud.com seems to have appeared on 30th October.

Grand Opening Sale event!
This event will end on 11/30/2007
- so, I've got 2 weeks to shake me Large.

This is all very exciting - perhaps too much excitement.

The animations look very nice in the video footage.

Also, the 3 coming-soon characters are a good sign of more things to come.

I think the factor here is that these models are all half price at the moment.

Transactions seem to be PayPal only (routed to PayPal via bytecommerce). Paypal refers to duysonbui @gmail.com - and the Marketing Manager at 3dbud is "Duy Son Bui".

I'm twitching already at the prospect of getting these. PayPal won't let me buy them until I link my bank account to my PayPal account - sniff.

I'm wondering if "Lisa Marie Presley" is the fantasy sorceress:

Anyone see a license for these?

Nope.

Also, I am worried that some of the character weapons are too big - especially the fantasy hulk one.

Poly counts look pretty high.
8970 polygons for Fantasy Knight.

3drt 2504 polygons for Fantasy Warrior.

Good for rendered but not sure how well it would work for realtime in blitz 3d.
