How to get that certain sound?!

Hi, i've just stumbled over a pc intro and am totally into the sound. Now i know how to do this on the amiga but how does it work the best on pc?

Are there any packers which are used quite often?
Any good rippers around for extracting AdLib d00 files?
Is thare any source like for mod or sid fies which features demo/intro music for da pc or has it's focus on AdLib music?

Hmm not really.

I'm mainly on OSX and so i would prefer ripping it from there, also no problem to play it due to the Edlib Player but even when i switch to pc then i can see the intro but not listen to the tune (maybe due to that it's a dos thing). Now you may ask were i listened to the tune at all, video of the demo which doesn't contain the full sound. Somehow i'll get it out but i would have preferd a painless route.
