Mini joystick?

Can anyone recommend a really small joystick that I could use with a laptop... that isn't bigger than the darn machine!

The one I've got is a huge Saitek & takes more humping around than my laptop does!... I dunno if anyone can remember the old `BBC computer`... they did a really small & simple one for that... with about a 3" sq base & a simple (almost cocktail stick thick) chrome joystick... something like that would be ideal.

Google don't seem to come up with anything!... it did find a joystick for a mobile phone though??? lol

Just to note that is looks like a microswitch joystick, if you want it for flight sims etc, then this will give you the same control as using the arrow keys.

Most people wish their joystick was bigger, but you want a smaller one?!?!

laptop or no laptop, you shouldn't play with your joystick in public...

@ BoomBoom... I'm not bothered if it's microswitch actually... I'm using a program (and am writting a similar program) that uses the numeric keypad for input!... on my laptop, that doesn't have a keypad, I have to switch to the alternate keypad controls... but that disables almost half of the keyboard & gives it the input of a keypad... making it almost unusable for both apps!... so a joystick to replace the key inputs is what I'm actually looking for :)... it's either that or buy a seperate USB keypad for the laptop... I'd prefer a joystick though.

The competition pro was (and probably still is) the best joystick in the world!

Xbox 360 pad. Works wonderfully :)

dvd.co.uk are selling wireless ones for £17.99 at the moment, but then you'd need to add the little wireless receiver thing as well... but hey, it's cool :)

on another note
iir when working in pc shop in the early 90's im sure we were near the compy's main hq
we were in oldham near manchester so it could be rochdale royton or further out.

i remember this as one guy used to come in with the odd box of pro's and leave with games so he could 'test out the latest batch of sticks on the latest games'

i remember them being sturdy buggers better than the atari but ugly
and not going to come apart like the quickshot2 my brother had after a waggle fest cos we didnt have buttons a and b like the arcade version of some game or other
waggle left/right to increase spead ... well i guess it got the youth's of the day used to such RSI ;)

I still got that joystick(to play all amiga games on pc) and also I still got ZIPSTICK for amiga
