Is this worth the £39.99 it's going for. Looks like an interesting book... Just seems a tad pricey. Wouldn't mind paying the money if it's worth it, so recommendations would be cool thanks!
Ian Millington's Artificial Intelligence book
Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Ian Millington's Artificial Intelligence book Thanks Tony, i'll probably go for it. Thanks for the link puki.
Yeah, I like it. I think it was £40? It's about 900 pages, and covers pretty much every area of AI. It's a nice broad guide to the subject, and there's enough detail and code for most of the stuff you'll want to do. A lot of AI books cover a few subjects well, but most don't cover everything, which is of limited use if you only really want to buy one or two books. This covers pretty much everything, and then you have books like the AI Programming Wisdom series ( which is just a compendium of articles really ) if you want a very specific subject. For an average game, and assuming you don't want to specialize in AI, this books is probably enough.
The code examples are all in either C or pseudo code, but they're well-written so they're never hard to follow.
