Can anyone recommend some sort of screen wipe that is safet for TFT screens like on my Macbook pro and also my Ninendo DS? My son has got my DS filthy and the Macbook pro screen AND case need a good old clean, but naturally I don't want to be pressing to hard on the screens (or scratch them) and I don't want to use anything dodgy and corrosive.
Any ideas? Thx
You've got to get inside the screen to remove all the dust:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ffo-o262prA I use a product from Elecom that I bought from PC World. It comes as a liquid spray and a lint-free cloth (obviously use the spray on the cloth and not your screen ;o) ). Cost me about a tenner, but it does a great job of my CRT and the TFT on my Mac.
My Acer TFT monitor's manual says to clean it with isopropyl alcohol on a lint-free cloth. Works like a charm, and got rid of a splotch that I was unable to clear off using windex.
OK so booze 'n' a t-shirt will do the job ;-) OK well I guess I'd better some of that then.
