Hope they do this again, or find a way to keep the price of those players below $150 permanently, as it'll hopefully mean my vote for next-gen format will come out victorious....
(would get one for myself if I didn't just blow my gaming budget on GuitarHero3...)


Damn PS3 made more an impact on BluRay sales than I was expecting it to do......especially with the upcoming price-drop to make it even more-so.
(albeit most people are buying a PS3 to play games, not watch movies....wait, nvm, forgot today's gaming industry basically is watching movies)

It seems that most of the big studios are jumping on BluRay instead of HD-DVD.

Whatever, this time they can make their format change without me. DVD is good enough, and the only other format that I am willing to accept are legal, DRM-free movie downloads. And I am not willing to pay more than 9,99 Euros per movie.

DVD is good enough for most now, but I wouldn't mind me a larger disc to backup data too without having to invest on a $400+ writer with $10 discs....which won't happen until either formats becomes the winner and has the market penetration...

That and I want companies to screw the hi-def and just use the discs as a means of, say, storing a full season of a show in 480P plus extras, on one disc, rather than 4+.
