I just finished my first go on Space Giraffe on XBL. That game is nuts. What does that guy smoke while he's designing? Is he purposely trying to make you go blind? Anyway, I found it strangely addictive, anyone else find this?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not bad mouthing his games. He's just not discovered flat shaded polygons yet, that's all.

In that case, let me: Minter sucks and his good reputation is entirely unjustifiable. His best games are rip-offs of other people's works. These days, all he's good for is endlessly recycling Tempest and churning out "mood enhancing" glorified screen savers which very few people care a jot for. "Trippy visuals + Tempest + Llamas" is, in its own way, just as stale a concept as a World War 2 FPS. Minter is all quirk and no substance. And he needs to get a haircut.

lol. I used to live a couple of miles from Mr Minter back in the day. But I'm sure he moved out of that place long since.
I did like some of his games, Llamatron and ROT Mutant Camels were strangely fun. But I never really went from the `arcade style graphics` type of angle that he put into games like robotron and such. His lightsynths are kinda cool, though, in an arty kind of way.
