Pirates

Hi, Just completed this piece of animation for work:

It ends abruptly as it then cuts into the inside of the building, something that the other guy I work for has done. Hope you like :)

looks really good.. except for the little village.. the houses looked like lego blocks.. :p

Very nice! But I was extremely disappointed when it cut off right when the cannonball was about to obliterate the house. =)

Yea, the village is the bit I would like to have had more time on. I only had 35 hours toso the whole thing, so corners had to be cut :)

Felt good to do an animation again, I have been developing in blitz for the last month and a bit.

Is this a cut scene. With which program you created?

I liked it a lot, one thing I felt was that the cannons didn't have much weight (maybe intentional), but otherwise it all animated well.

Great work on the ship, flag etc., the cannons movement was spot on!. The abrupt ending could work, if it ended with a full screen whiteout & fade into fullscreen fireball (inc. loud BOOM!) with the title dramatically appearing through a background of flames.

One thing that looked a little odd to me, was all the lights on in the village. It looked as if the houses are modern and all have coloured christmas tree lights on them, rather than lantern lit shacks.

Come to think of it, why would Pirates attack a village?

Pretty neat. The ship doesn't leave any wake in the water, though. :)
