I never really thought much about media critisism on a political/competitive level. So the culture ministers comment was quite interesting.

“But as for criticism from the media, well don’t be so surprised. You’re a competitor of theirs aren’t you?”

Heh - I dont think the industry's competition with the media has much to do with it. The media - in this country, at least - has always loved a good old witch hunt when it comes to looking for something to blame for sociatal ills.

I wonder what kind of tax breaks were being mooted, anyway...

Well, at least she seems to be giving a group of developers the option to lobby their own MPs, but lobby for what I wonder exactly ? No tax breaks, but maybe incentives for new start software businesses (would maybe have to be based in an employment blackspots to swing it) ?
