Rick Dangerous. Great game. Hard though. In those days most games seemed to be hard. They made you replay over and over. I prefer games that are easier these days and get harder once you've learned the skills.

Hey Grey, why don't you make a platformer ? Iron Fist was pretty fun...

Arg, everyone keeps saying it and I TOTALLY WANT TO! :-) But I just don't have the time right now. Day job is making casual games, then I've got 2 kids and a woman to keep happy in the evenings and weekends + I do Aikido + I like playing the odd game myself ;-) However, I'm hoping I can find some time to do one soon...I even have an offer of an artist lined up.

Thanks for the kinds words about Iron Fist, it is pretty neat, I played it again the other day. I had so many ideas for that game but it took me 200+ (6 months part time) hours just to get to that stage. Mind you I'm sure I could do it loads quicker now with my framework...

Yeah, but look at it this way. You'll have a very unique game, it'll raise some controversial eyebrows depending on your delivery so people will be talking, storyline will obviously be interesting no matter how you do it, it'll be "educational" in a way, and potentially perverted gamers may be drawn to it. Not only will you be able to tackle to casual market, but you may even be able to garnish some from the adult market too (once again, depending on your delivery...). Just think about it...you know you want.....yeah....:p
