Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Is LA on fire? heh, just think what terrorists could do if they went for something like simple arson at the right time of year.
Sounds pretty nasty down there :( Here in North California, it really wasn't that hot this year. Even so, wouldn't take much, just look at lake tahoe earlier this year.

Its been kind of weird. I was at my friends in san bernadino( east of la ) all weekend. Really strong winds, I think I heard someone say they had reached 94mph? Sounded like the house was going to blow apart.
A few fires had been going on close by, not really sure-- but I think the wind made whatever had happened worse.
Woke up this morning. All this trash, and branches and leaves blown strewn about. Really strong smell of fire. The sun was coming thru tinted orange. Lots of ash coming down.
Last I heard, they had shut off the roads nearby his house, that lead up to the mountains. When we left the wind was still going.. we drove by a few big rigs that had been knocked over on the freeway. And the cars kept veering all over because of the wind. Wind blowing dust up.
Basically the sky looked terrible( Even more than our normal smoggy skyline ).
Glad to be home now, and away from all that.
