How could we know the newest popular GAME shareware?

You couldn't. Since it's independent and scattered by nature, there isn't any way to know what's popular. Even most of the portal charts ( which is only one slice of the shareware games market ) are based on trends over very short periods rather than direct "this is how many copies sold last month" figures.

well try BigFishGames and look at the top 10 but as Gabriel says, it changes rapidly. Reflexives charts last 30 days and you can browse by top sellers or user favourites (which ones were actually bought most compared to downloads).

Also GameTunnel has reviews once a month.
Oh GameZebo has lots of casual news.

PC Format has what it rates as top 50 shareware games on it's CD, this was one of them

I find "Weekly Top 10 Grid (Real Arcade)" to be one of the more useful sets of data. You can see what was popular, and for how long. But you have to go to the last couple pages to see the latest data. (Though the data on that particular chart seems to be from around March at the earliest. The other charts seem to have newer data.)

Keep in mind, portals top lists are subjective to what they are pushing, profiting the most on, etc, etc. "popular" and "the newest" don't always go together.

I'd like to see a new forum added just for game releases, something other than showcase or feedback. Just actual finished game releases, for Blitz users.
