Are all vector programs known for being sluggish? My computer is getting old (1.5ghz) now but as I have never done any vector work before so I`m not sure if this is normal. Normal paint programs like Photoshop work fine however but I want a dedicated vector program.
I`m using InkScape and it is really slow here.
If it is a CPU thing are there any other free alternatives out there that are a little nippier\computer friendly?
Also, one last thing, are there any programs around that allow you to vary the thickness of a line via a graphics tablet according to pressure? I assume the expensive ones do this but what about the free ones?
Thanks for any help,
Jason.
