New games on the front page!

In the event that you have directly bookmarked these forums and bypass the front page ( http://www.blitzbasic.com/ ) you may not have noticed that it's been updated with some new games! Specifically:

Tecno (wasn't sure that was actually finished yet but it sure is a great achievement)
Master of Defence - pretty popular this one
Kingdom Elemental Tactics - heard about it, haven't played it. Is it good? I presume so.

Super Gerball is still there and also Playpus. Oh and Naked war right at the top.

So they are all 3D except Platypus. Hmm what about 2D games? Maybe the site designer (Simon?) loves 3D games...

So some have been removed also, the Lego one by Sswift, a spongebob one I think. What else?

I emailed BRL twice to try to get Wizard of Oz or Holiday Bonus on there but I didn't even get a reply, sniff, so I am jealous ;-) But well done those who have games on it! I'm really hoping my next one will make it up there - it's gonna be pretty popular, a no.1 hit game :-)

Sswifts lego game has gone? I didn't even notice. Wonder why they axed it. Surely they can display a few more games if they (BRL) want to?

Yeah I guess they could have a giant column down the side. Or even a special page with them all on and then rotate the games on the front page. There was a thread about this a while back.

Sswift may be the first to admit that the lego game (although good quality) was not "GREAT" as the title page infers but it did have that big LEGO name attached to it so was good for the Blitz front page.

Well yeah, I'd have thought an official Lego game would have been good publicity, but you know about BRL and publicity. :P

They could squeeze in a thin banner at the top of every page and display a random game each day.

EDIT : Kingdom Elemental is really freakin awesome! These guys love their game, you can tell. I've never played a demo that actually made me want the full game before.

Cool I'll have to check it out. I've played lots of demos that made me want the game, starting with doom probably, now wait maybe some c64 demo tape games :-)

Yeah, if Kingdom Elemental was converted to some sort of an RPG, rather than just a small skirmish tactics game, I would so buy it.

I might buy it just for the love that they put into their demo. I don't think I've ever seen it done to that extent before. But then yeh, I wouldn't be playing the game for long, probably.

Ah yes, now I know why I didn't download it - it just didn't appear to me as some kind of combat simulator, I need more e.g. crap story/plot/quests etc.

It -definately- has the crap story part covered. Seriously. Download it and have a look at least. =]

Kingdom Elemental was done by Liberator ( Scott Thunaleus I think is his name ). That guy is seriously talented and he got a bit of help from Josiah of Chronic Logic ( Gish and Bridge Construction Set ). I still need to pick that game up but I'm sure it's amazing.

Funny to see that none of the games on the front page was made with BMax...

Well Platypus was ported to BMax so they could release it on mac I believe.

I've offered my BMax games but no one replied...Perhaps they'll take the next one seriously.

I don't think it's a question of quality, Grey. Your games are very professional and polished. Maybe they just prefer some indie-looking games... Or maybe they don't listen to us anyway. :-(
