Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Pay Pal?
hiya all
I got pay pal and my pay pal account is £3.96GBP.
I want to buy COBRA 3D which cost £49.52GBP
IF I pay now...I dont think it would go through cos I dont have enough moneys to pay it.
IF Go through, does pay pal go to OVERDAFT( does it charge me if is does GO OVERDAFT?
thanks for reading this.
cheers
PayPal won't give you an overdraft. If your PayPal account doesn't have sufficient funds, it will use your primary source of funds to make the rest of the payment. If your primary source of funds is a credit card, it will use that. If your primary source of funds is a bank account, it will use that, and if your bank account doesn't have enough funds then - assuming you have overdraft arrangements - it will be overdrawn and you'll be charged whatever your bank charges for overdraft facilities.
But PayPal themselves are not involved in this. They just take the money from wherever you've told them to take it.
I think it would just charge the rest from your credit card - if you have one there.
thank you for interesting information :)
cheers
IF I havnt got enough moneys in pay pal then I used visa card :)
If you have a bank account registered with paypal and an instant bank transfer is available for you to pay for the product then paypal use their money to pay for the item and then wait for the Direct Debit you have setup to get their money back.
Basically a bank transfer is instant whether or not you have money in your account or not. If when Paypal go to withdraw the money from your account after 3-5 days it's not there then your paypal account goes in to the negative. In some cases (dependant on the value of the product bought) if there is no money in your bank when they go to collect and your backup source fails they take back their money from the Seller.
I've been conned many times via ebay because of this method paypal use. Basically you sell something, the buyer buys it with an instant bank transfer, paypal pay with their money on the sellers behalf and then wait to collect the cash from their account a few days later. When this fails, theytake the money back from you and you're left minus the money and the item if you have posted it.
All this info is available on the paypal website.
