Anyone here work/worked in tech support?
I was using Logmein today for the first time, connecting to a mate's company network. (Logmein is basically a way of taking control of a remote user's PC, via the internet - a bit like remote desktop or VNC).
I've done lots of remote connections before without any issues. I connected to my friend's PC, and saw he was typing names and addresses into a spreadsheet, so I clicked into a new field and started typing into it the words "SLURRRRRRP HAHAHA!!!" (which is a long running joke between us).
Anyway, turned out it wasn't his PC. I could tell me the panicked shaking of the mouse pointer, followed by a swift File -> Save As then the mouse pointer staying very still. (I can picture a panicked phone call to the helpdesk 'Help someone's hacked into my PC!').
I bet I'm not the first person to have done this.
