Is it possible to hide the Boot Camp partition from my desktop, since it can't be written to from OSX anyway? It's not a big deal, it just annoys me.

Hey, thanks. That did it - although, is there a way to make it not mount by default (in OSX, obviously)?
By default, all local file systems are mounted when the script /etc/rc is executed.
You should be able to edit it and change the 'mount' parameters to mount only the hfs volume (you may need to chmod the file permissions first).
I didn't want to mess with mine, but you're game, make sure you get it right. If no volumes get mounted at boot time, you won't be able to access OS X.

I'm not screwing around with that. It's not THAT annoying.
You're probably right. Besides, you can still read your Windows partition from OS X so it's handy for copying stuff across.
Interestingly, I can mount and access both my OS X and Windows partitions from Linux (read-only though).
