Google advertisements

All,

I've heard that putting a google advertisment on a web site, could make some income - is that true ?

If so, do someone of you have experience in this field ? What to do, and what to avoid ?

Is in any case worth to do it ?

I guess that is indeed worth, but only for a website with a rather busy traffic - what are your opinions about ?

I use this on my own site, about $100 per month.

I have around 12000 views and 1000 unique IP per day.

I think this is pretty worth to do if you have a community/forum/CMS... etc.

You need a lot lot lot of traffic. I'm using it in my blog and in the first months I wasn't making any money at all, now it's making a little income, enough to buy some little libraries for Blitz3D like tree systems etc. It's growing though.

You should monetize your website well, putting ads to your websites footer will not generate a bit. In my blog, I put them on each posts.

They must look like a part of your websites and they shouldn't be disturbing. Don't fill your website with ads.

I have a friend who runs a very well known website by himself and he makes about $10,000 per month just off of Google Ads.

Well i just removed my adds.
Both freewebs and Google.

now i run the site Googles free.

I earnead 4$ in 3 years and hade about 4500 reads.
about 4-20 reads per day.

so i decided www.voidrpg.com will not have any banners. it will be just the game it is.

It does make money just... slowly.

But

you will get free statistics.
ao i may put it back. down.. down down... on page.

I and friend run a website with 30 million page views per month, sometimes we make over 100$ per day, but it's not ehough money so that we can quit our dayjobs yet...

If you gonna earn any money that matters with google you better have lots of traffic and english website. Ours is not in english and is probably reason why we do not make as much with it as would could make if it was english :)

lol, on my site, It's done with googlepages, and has google adsense ads on it :D

...except I get about 3 hits a day, so I'm yet to make a penny :D I think I get $4.00 every 1k hits, and I have 296 lol...I should make a new site with useless info on it, and PLASTER it with ads...
