(Dont know how to make it where you can just click on the link, sorry. Just Copy and paste.)
cool
You can't make it a link if you use FileFront links. Otherwise it would be (a http://files.filefront.com/Mario+Makerzip/;8633718;/fileinfo.html)linktext(/a)
replace () with []
Oh, ok. Did anybody get the game to work?
I played it. Smart Idea for a game, but some feature requests:
-Optional Background image that the player can use their own sky
-saving your mario level
-a click-and-drag GUI, the keyboard for stuff like that is annoying.
-optional 1-player mode
kthnx :D
Thnx for the feedback. I'm working on a one player mode. The background is a good idea, I'll probally do that too. The save is WAY outta my league. Same with the GUI.
couldn't you use a simple GUI lib and grid-snapping mouse controls? (click and drag tiles)? Also a save for a game like this should be simple. Just save all of the variables and positions, AKA, save all of the data that you would normally have directly before pressing T.
All the variables and positions? That would take forever! Espesialy the way I wrote it. There's still alot I need to learn. I wrote this program without using functions like Dim and Data (Because I don't know how, But I'm trying to learn.) As for GUI commands, I've never used those either. Again, I'd love to learn how.
C'mon, I've only gotten one download. It's not THAT bad a game.
I'll download it.
You can download HomeSpun. It has code for how to save a very basic level. I'm not much of a coder but it might get you started.
It's not really hard and I'm sure one of the pros here could show you an even better way. ()
