A question regarding BlitzMax updates

Hi,

i got this asked by someone and honestly i don't know the answer on my own. If you're new to BlitzMax you'll have to install 1.18 first and then, does one have to install and compile all updates or just the latest one?

And you dont really need to compile any

(And remember sync Mods after you have instaled the update)

I haven't used BlitzMax a lot this year but didn't i need to compile it under OSX?!
