Amiga version of BlitzBasic

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Amiga version of BlitzBasic

Hi. I was just wondering how I get hold of the Amiga version of BlitzBasic. I purchased all Blitz products so far, so maybe theres a little hope I can get it very cheap? ;)

Hmm, I was looking for that last week. However, I was occupied doing other things, so I didn't had a chance to test it, so I'm not sure if this is it:

Don't forget to download and install Mildred chunkygraphics library for it from that same site ;-D

Looking at the source code of Blitz Basic 2makes me feel a little dizzy! I have no clue what sort of brain it takes to be able to write a whole language such as this in assembly language and make it all work properly. No wonder there's Blitz3D! But I guess you can get quite used to coding 68K assembly and the various faciclities of the Motorola processor of that time. Still, some great work done there, no doubt!

It must of been quite interesting to open up features of the Amiga with such a language, as it was to bring 3D to basic in such a way as was done in Blitz3D.
