Xbox Controller emulator?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Xbox Controller emulator?

Hi there,
i just got a pretty funny game, but unfortunately it only works with a xbox 360 controller. So i searched for a emulator, that makes my normal gamepad to a xbox controller. But i found nothing. Does anyone of you know a emulator like that?

an emulator won't help much.
Your device needs XInput drivers or it won't work.

So there isn't anyway to make the game believing that my controler is a xbox controler?:(
The game i speaking of is "climbactic" Anyone knows it? Maybe a update for keybord controls?

get an x360 controller, they work on xp.

This is actually the thing i didnt want to^^
You need a adapter for it and i dont need a 360 controller for other games. So it doesnt really make sence to buy it...

You don't need an adaptor. It has a USB connector.

You need an adapter for a XBox 360 wireless controller. But, if you get a wired 360 controller, it can plug right in, they have standard USB plugs on them.

If you use a gamepad with your PC much, you might consider a 360 controller, they are excellent gamepads.

Ok, i'd need a new gamepad actually...
Thanks for the answers, i read somewhere that u need a adapter, but that was rubbish i think.

> i read somewhere that u need a adapter

Maybe that was for the wireless controllers?

Only need this adapter for the wireless 360 peripherals.

I use it myself personally, but the included software and no-frills drivers were a disappointment.

The included software is basically broken as it stands, force-minimizes a fair amount of the games I had installed, so I removed that.

The drivers do nothing with regards to offering the full 360 controller functionality under games using DirectInput, so you're basically screwed out of rumble as well as having the trigger buttons act independently under titles that don't directly support xinput.
(not to mention no built-in dead-zone or analog acceleration options in the gamepad config window)
