Which one are you going to buy - the fantasy RPG or the war-time FPS?

I might buy both.

I'm hoping the RPG has decent media as there is plenty of room left on my media hard-drive.

Cripes - there is a demo out for Two Worlds - it's been out about 2 or 3 weeks and I didn't know.

I'm off to download it now.

heh, its kind of like a poor mans oblivion, interesting but lacking the depth and somewhat simple and not as rewarding or involved.

If you want something akin to golden axe in 3D then its not bad I suppose.

I'm considering MOH, but I'll wait for some reviews.

MOH - it's EA right?

So it'll be solid, well-produced, with perhaps a couple of new features (this 'land anywhere' thing) but essentially conservative in its gameplay.

Having said that, I can see myself ordering it sometime around Christmas when it's no longer at new release pricing ;-)

The MoH Airborne demo is really good, I played it to completion 4 times in one night. The MoH series has been mostly eclipsed by the Call of Duty series and this appears to be a return to form, so I shall certainly be buying it.

The new CoD game, the modern warfare one, doesn't appeal as much as the MoH WW2 setting.

Is the new MOH just another scripted movie-like WW2 fps? I've had enough of those. The're fun, but there's no freedom to do things the way you want.

"I know if we cross this field, 100 solders, 10 tanks and a Stuka will appear from nowhere to rip us in pieces. I'd go another way but the game wont let me."

It is supposed to be more free form, you can parachute into anywhere on the map. At least that is the hype, I'm waiting to see the reality.

Two Worlds seems more like Gothic3 than Oblivion. Seems okay. Only just started playing the demo.

puki

If you could buy the full game and then report back whether it's better/worse than Gothic 3. Thanks for that.

I think it is to a certain degree - it seems you can parachute anywhere into a smallish start area (in the case of the demo a small village) and then complete the objectives in that area in any way you wish, then the level becomes very linear just as MoH and CoD have always been.

Not that I mind - totally freeform games have a tendancy to wander and become aimless, personally I like a quick blast for an hour in the evening and I like the objectives and route to be reasonably clearly marked so I don't need to think too much.

It's just a simple shooter, not an RPG, which is why I like this sort of game.

Far Cry was great, but even that wasn't really very open - most of the missions channelled you through a series of key points, and the game killed you off quite easily for going places you weren't supposed to.

After playing Red Orchestra, I can't do those scripted WW2 shooters anymore. A tactical battle with 50 players is much more interesting.

With the right 50 players anyway. Too many times nobody works together. I should find a clan to game with I guess.
