3DMark06

Anybody run 3dMark06 on their system and got a good benchmark? What are your specs? I got 3523.

The benchmark demos run on average around 13 FPS at the default 1280 X 1024, LOL. Looks very nice though.

Maybe worth doing it before you upgrade to compare before and after results MGE - unless you've got a slow internet connection ofcourse!

Re-installed Oblivion just now to see how it now runs since I upgraded my graphics card (sometime ago). It now automatically sets itself to ultra high graphics settings. Obviously the latest games have moved on to ridiculous specs.

And it will never stop! :)

lol, you're right Dabz. But when PCI Express graphics slots came out I decided to stop upgrading (unless anything breaks). I went out and bought the mother of all PCI graphics cards (even had a special version with 512Mb RAM) and filled my RAM slots with 2Gb of system memory.

Now I'm playing games that run well on that spec and program for that spec - and if it doesn't run well I optimize it!

I get 7357, mainly thanks to an 8800GTX I just bought recently. I'm doing a CPU upgrade in the next day or two which should improve the numbers a bit.

My main priority in PC gaming is playing games in my LCDs proper resolution. The 6800 I had wasn't up to it lately so I upgraded. Next upgrade will be the motherboard, RAM and CPU, since I'm still on Socket 939.
