Anyone still use BlitzPlus?

Miscellaneous Forums/General Discussion/Anyone still use BlitzPlus?

The B+ forums haven't been updated in ages, and I just bought B+, so I'm mighty disappointed that I'm not getting more help. Anyone know what I can do?

Yeah, it seems most existing B+ users have moved over to blitzmax. There's probably a few B+'s around, though.

nah.

If your having problems with general 2D stuff, post in the Blitz3D section. The 2D commands of blitz3D are almost exaclty the same as the Blitz Plus ones, so you should get some help :) (remember to state your probelsm in 2D).

You mean your two posts one of which was posted an hour ago and answered after 30 mins and the other which has been asked and answered quite a few times before. Use the search function in B+ and B3D forums.
In general though, if you have just bought B+, it wasn't the best decision.
What made you buy it?

I just bought BlitzPlus a couple of months ago. Its good for application making mostly but I am hungry for some Blitzmax. Too bad it won't let me install the demo anymore...

I still use b+, and b3d, and bmax. Nothing wrong with it or the forum. I don't see what the problem is.

blitz+ is still a valid program, and especially good if your new to programming.

Working on a b+ project right now... :)
this is still good stuff.

I have to pay for school, and I would of squandered all of my money if I got BlitzMax. So I know, I'm cheap. I just wanted to pay the least amount of money.

So, you're happy with what you paid for, you're getting responses on your posts and have a shed-load of previous posts to refer to.... what is the problem?

<edit> Re-read that and it seems a bit scathing. What I am asking is whether lack of responses on your posts is the real problem.

Blitzplus is great, I still use it as I need tens of housands of individual pixel writes per frame to be fast for what I am doing.

The only thing I'd like with blitzplus is for the movie command memory leak to be fixed.

the real question is, Is anyone still using Blitz at all?

Only sometimes, to check a problem of a user -if I feel like solving that problem-, but to me BMax/GUI is really the 'new' B+.

Define "use".

Regardless of your definition: yes.

i still use b+

so... yes :)

I still use it too. Sure, there are things about it that I don't like, but it's still a good language.

I use blitz pluss for my server part of voidrpg.

saves cpu time

I still use BlitzPlus and will probably not move on to Blitz3D or BlitzMax for some time.
