Next year in highschool i am taking my first year of computer classes, with java coding and such. I was wonder, cause i was looking at some java tutorials, is Java the same as blitzSDK coding? I code using Blitz3d, but since i do know the blitz3d code fairly well, will i have a little bit of an edge next year when learning java?

I know blitz3d is not the same as blitzSDK, but it is similiar correct? So i will at least be familiar with the command sets and sort.

Correct me if i am wrong about the Java=blitzSDK thing, i dont care.

No.

Compared to someone who has never programmed before? Yes. Otherwise, no.

The only book you need is Bruce Eckels "Thinking in Java". For some reason many instructors still chose inferior books.

Cool thanks, i was not sure if java was similiar to SDK, but some of the sample i saw sort of resembled it. I guess i was wrong. Anyway, thanks for your help! :)
