I have to get a new gsm cellphone in a few days and was hoping some of you could lend some advice. I'm pretty late to the game and don't know much about them.
Heres what i'm looking for:
1) total control. I want a phone that can choose any kind of mp3 ringtone or customization on the phone without having to pay out the a$$ from my service provider. Most importantly I want to be able to put any kind of compatable application or game on the phone including anything i write myself.
2) Wifi. I want a phone that will allow me connect to any local hotspot to get internet access.
3) plenty of user ram and microSD storage for applications.
4) java compatable for writing custom applications.
Do any of you have any opinions or experience with a phone that meets these criteria?
I'll be using a US carrier btw.
