Halo 3 reaching release date... Any going to put down WOW and pick it up?
It looks pretty darn good.

No. Didn't like the first one much, don't have Vista for the second one, definitely not buying an XBox 360 for the third one. Sorry.

Oh, I have to go pre-order that puppy! I forgot!!!

What flameduck said, xcept i did enjoy the first one, but not enough to become a 'will-buy-any-tech-just-to-run-halo' person.

I'll chuckle if/when someone 'back engineers' the game to run on XP (Halo2 that is)

I loved the first one (XBox), got the second one on pre-order on relese day.... and it was OK I suppose, only played it as coop. I cannot remember what was on the PC at that point, but whatever it was I liked it more.
It came down to, if you couldnt connect two PCs then Halo was good. I think they really let the side down not to get two players on one PC. (Something I think a lot of games should do)

What was the last two PC player at same time on one comp game? Settelers 2 maybe?

I used to play halo with my friend before he moved. We would set the deaths to like 200 and grenade each others brains out. We'd see how many bodies we could get onscreen before they reset.

I was at the theater for The Simpson's Movie and I see a preview with Master Chief and excitedly thought it'd be for the movie, which I am looking forward to.

I think i remember the commercial, is there really going to be a movie?

WOW I'm so out of touch... I've just reached level 2 of the original Halo, (my sons nearly beat level 3 ...) , then again I very much subscribe to the:-

mentality. I will get Halo3 ... maybe, if it stands the test of time... for a fifth of the price. All things come to those who wait.

I believe so, directed by Peter Jackson.

Anyways, I'm not much of a Halo nut, nearly beat the original on PC (then I got a new PC without bothering to backup all my old stuff), never got around to recompleting it. Recently beat the second one on my bros recently-purchased 360 Elite, was an alright game, with one of the worst cliff-hanger endings I've seen in a game, unsure why people are so fanatic about the title, unless it was all about the online deathmatch or something, which I already have UT2K4 for.

May pick this up in the future as BlitzPlotter mentioned, when I have my own 360.
(aforementioned brother moving out of the house this week, so I don't get to enjoy Gears of War anymore until the PC version comes out >.>)

I guess the biggest feature of Halo3 that intrigues me is the 4-player online co-op, which would be great to play with some of my guild-buddies, as I got yer average crappy CRT television, and those things are horrible for split-screen gaming these days.
(kept getting lost playing Halo2 with my brother just because of my limited viewing area, was much easier back in the N64 days where the graphics were much simpler and you could make out the areas much more easily, nowadays you pretty much need an HDTV to enjoy split-screen)
