Aurora Compiler or Emergence Basic?

Just wanted to know which of the 2 you guys would buy and if the Languages are any good?

What are your experiances with the compilers?

Without having tried either, I would strongly recommend against Aurora. It's so much like C, you may as well use C with the benefits that brings.

$25 for EBASIC is something to toy with, You can obtain the EB source by purchasing the $149 package.

I'd also say none, but Cobra is going to be pretty groovy soon.

Well, I just bought the source iso and looking into it.

Have to say Paul is a talented programmer and this should worth it, although I'm not going to make any compiler or app(this is forbidden in license), I'm just interested in making games.

Cobra's Pure2D is awesome, no hardware accleration required, by time progressing it'll grow a lot and very powerful.

So are you moving on from Blitz, Amon? It will be a sad day when the guy with 10 licenses moves on.

I found something else to spend my money on. I bought the Silo 2.0 upgrade for $60. I'm just waiting for my activation key. :)

Amon, the Silo upgrade should be good, I mean other languages may not be useful anyway.

I'm instersted in "how to make a compiler", but now I realize I have no passion and time to do it, for the $$ to buy a realization, actually worth it.

I'd recommend Cobra. A well designed language and the 3d engine runs very well on my system. I'll be posting some tutorials when I have time.

BlitzMax is also a good choice. Anything else I'd ignore if I were you - you might actually complete something then. ;-)

For application programming PureBASIC is recommended.

Yes, Cobra3D modile is under private beta teat only.

As PureBasic won't have any 3D Engine update after 4.20, and Max3D still have no news...

Personally I recommend gman's IrrichtMax, the only mature an cross-platform one you can get free.

yeah, Paul is going to charge for support, but the products are now free.
