We should have a Blitz chess club

"C h i e f y" used to be our chief chess champion. He must be resurrected.

I demand we have a Blitz chess club.

All programmers should be able to play chess - it's some law of programming or something that I once read. In fact, I think Microsoft and other major software companies enforce chess playing - possibly contractually.

It (taking into account the above law) that we may have some good players in the Blitz community and we can take on other chess teams and batter them into defeat.

I have recently bought Chess Master 10th edition. Everybody should buy it too - it's cheap - you can get it for less than £10.00

Anyone interested?

If not, I continue to batter the computer with my insatiable cheating.

I like draughts more..
- more action
- faster
- less long/boring games
- pieces are easier to raytrace

Note that in my younger years I've been youth-chess-champion of the local village, by playing utterly slow. My opponents were typically ~3 years younger than me, and easily bored. After an hour they started to be bored, look around, and that's where they were starting to make mistakes.. :-)

But I don't think I can be arsed to play chess really.. Do me Settlers of Catan any day!
