Roy CAVERNA [new beat]

Hi !

After the update of "Saturn MD", I present you the new beta of "Roy CAVERNA" !

This new version is now 100% free.

Save the file into a directory and lauch it.

- The story :
You take contol of Roy and his faithful dragon Dubby.
You go to the three close villages which decided to steal the rice reserves of your village this night.

You can launch projectils with your dragon by charging the energy-bar :

1/yellow : long shot,
2/pink : medium shot,
3/red : short shot,
4/flashing bar (maximum charging) : short shot, but which has the possibility of rebounding towards the back when touching the ground.

What's new :
- new code (BlitzPlus),
- new pause,
- news ending,
- 3 levels of dificulty,
- choice of 3 soundtracks style (Pulse renovator, The Twisted MC et Trente trois),
- new energy-bar,
- improved 32bits graphics,
- better gameplay.

Hi,

I think I've found the problem : it seems to be a conflict between BlitzPlus and BlitzMediaLinker.

I changed my dim variables (loadfont()) for standard globals... I don't know, but it works for me now.

Please, report me if the problem persist !

For Binary Joy,I hope the game will be on its final version when you'll post on it ;)

And I'v got always the same problem with the ingame font : some times it works, some times not...

I think it's because there is a conflict mistake with BlitzMediaLinker.

So I've updated the archive. Now it's a zipped .exe (16MB). I should work normaly now.

I would like to kwow which music style you prefer in the game ;)

I downloaded this and forgot to run it! Oh well, even after trying to run it now it started up and after a lot of thinking it got no further than a plain black screen. Looks nice, wish I could play it!

Please, re-download it, I have updated it since my last post. I had some problems with BlitzMediaLinker (a packer).

The font is good this time, but still no transparency :( I'm running Vista, so I'll try to figure out if the problem is on my end.

The game seems to run fine on my winXP+gefore5200Fx system.

The final version will be out soon (this week-end I hope) and will fix the screen quake (sometimes the screen can "fall down" infinitly).

Yes, I do all my games artworks. It takes time, but it is what I prefer after coding.
