Microsoft Speech cannot say 'L' properly

It pronounces the letter 'L' as two syllables and it sounds like it is saying 'lo (ie hello).

It seems to be a glaring, and probably avoidable, slur.

I don't like it.

Mac's speech system is a lot better, and it sounds like its been improved more in 10.5 :)

Have you tried changing voices, though ?

I wonder how it pronounces tomb ? ;-)

Microsoft Sam pronounces it "toom".

The 'Tomb of knowledge' incident, quite frankly, must have been a BRL website fault. I've yet to submit the report.

Maybe this is why George Bush can't say "nuclear" properly?

Would that explain why Eisenhower, Carter, and Clinton didn't say it properly, either?
