Animated GIFs

WOW, have things gone a long way since I was here last.

Yo people, what up? Does anyone here know a good program, preferably free, that can create animated GIFs? Because I've designed this great little avatar update for my "A" symbol, but I can't make it into a GIF.

I don't know of any GIF app like that, but I have to say I find animated GIFS in sigs really annoying, so please dont. ;)

What big10p said. Although I have sigs turned off, so I don't care, really.

Well, If it bothers you that much then I won't use it on this site, but I still want to make an animated copy for elsewhere.

btw, do you realize that currently about 90% of your replies are signatures and images?

Doesn't Graphics Gale (in your sig) do animated GIFs?

yeah.. ur sig is a tad bit hard on the browser.. and on the eyes..

Not as far as I know... But I do only have the free edition...

The Graphics Gale website says it supports animated GIFs so you'll just have to buy it. :)

Well, there's redundant information in it that could go..
The >-|ADAM|-< for instance, that you're an "ADAM" is obvious from your nickname, and that it's spelled ADAM, not Adam is as interesting as my 80yo-neighbour's nipple. :)

The "CEO" and stuff below could be on one single line, and this whole single line could be on the right side of the logo (like big10p has for instance)

Or better yet, left out altogether since there doesn't seem to be any registered company called Gigahertz games, so I very much doubt he's the Chief Executive Officer of anything.

My thoughts, but I decided to be polite. ^_^ Ohwell, when it's on the right of the image, I wouldn't mind much. It's mainly the height that concerns me. One post isn't such a trouble, but a 100+ reply thread with 10% ADAMs quite is..

Good point, plus, sigs here shouldn't be used for images/graphics, this isn't a site for flaming mmorpger's.

Right, all comments good & bad taken on board; I will not be getting rid of my emblem image entirely, as that image represents me & is a kind of "official seal," despite my present lack of any unusual social status. As far as everything else goes, you're all mostly right; sigs should probably be kept to about three lines tops for the sake of easy reading. I'll make some changes directly.

i know 2 programs
1.) corel graphics suite 12 - this one is very expensive but u get what u pay for price is $65-$120; omg dude that a thing is ok..but it u want to make pro graphics get a trial of corel graphics suite 12 , and if u like it then buy a graphics pad (its a pad that comes with a pen that can detect pressure. really its alot better than it sounds) and the reg key for corel graphics suite 12.

Well there is no harm in pretending anything, because no-one is going to take you seriously. It is nonsense however since I'm assuming "Gigahertz Games" doesn't have an executive board (or indeed any other executives) and thus cannot have a CEO.

I'd say the logo is a trifle too tall. It's just a little out of proportion with the text. Big10ps is a better size.

oh god, Please remove the animation!!!!

I quite like to have Sigs enabled as there are a ton of useful stuff in there, but animated sigs are the most annoying thing since.

Ditto with wanting to have sigs enabled and the general naffness of some people's...

...but using a browser with some sort of content blocking ability seems the best of both worlds. I'm using Opera at the moment, and the built-in selective content blocker is wonderful. Most browsers have something (either natively or as a plugin).

ADAM's signature is nice enough, but I'm not so enamoured with his existance that I need to be reminded of it 12 times in a thread. Block image = problem solved. :o)

U can use Artweaver.
But i´ts in German. You onla have to add an new layer (ger: Ebene) and export as gif.

Maybe you should have a look at the Ulead Gif-Animator.

I use that little animation shop thing that comes with paint shop pro 7. Its sweet, simple and does the job.
