How well does a MacBook run Blitz 3D games?

Quite impressive considering the MacBook has a pretty weak graphics card. Does anyone know how well Blitz3D runs on one using BootCamp or Parallels? Some of the games in the clip look more complex then most Blitz games.

What I would really like to see is someone running FredBorgs forest scene on the MacBook to see how well it performs, anyone feel like trying it for me and posting the results? A video would be cool :) Here`s the link to that incase anyone is interested.

I recently went into an Apple store but they were unwilling to install Parallels onto a MacBook for me so I could try it out :( You guys are my last hope.

You wouldn't get much done with Parallels unless you get V3 of it.

It will run faster by booting into Windows rather than running it through parallels which is a virtual machine.

Ah man, you still not bought the PRo yet?

I really want to it just seems like an awful lot of money when I compare it to a similar priced PC. Arghhh cannot decide...

I have been into the Apple shop about five times now and keep having to really stop myself from buying one. This is probably the only computer I am going to have for the next few years so I really want to be 100% sure.

Are you still completely happy with your MacBook Pro? Can you do everything you wanted to on it and would it ever replace your desktop PC or are there some things that you still need your PC for?

well..my MacBook pro running on 8600GT...so I'm not sure is that poor card..in short...every B3D aplication I tried is very very fast on it..

Yeah but the standard MacBook has an integrated card unlike the decent one in the Pro version.

So you guys have BLitz3D running on a mac laptop do you? Does that mean you have to buy and install Windows on a virtual machine?

Yes but it seems to run surprisingly well, even when running Vista the Mac seems to wiz along nicely.

1. You don't install Windows on a virtual machine.
You install Boot Camp and DualBoot like any intelligent beeing trying to use 3D acceleration!

2. You have a GMA950 in a macbook. Don't expect anything by office 2d crap without proper T&L (DX7) capabilities. it will work but a Radeon 9500 will badly outperform it and the Apple decision to give it 96MB of shared memory makes it a VERY bad joke!!
